Ταύτην τὴν κατασκευὴν τῆς διαθήκης τῆς ἀγαθῆς ἐγὼ Κύριλλος ἐλάχιστος
ἐπίσκοπος τῆς Ἀλεξανδρέων πόλεως, ἔτυχον τῇ διαθήκῃ τοῦ ∆ανιήλ· συνεγραψάμην
δὲ ὁσίων καὶ ἀμωμήτων παίδων σύμβολον καὶ πολιτείαν, καὶ τὴν εἰς Χριστὸν
τελείωσιν.
