Trusting him as strength

And thus to believe in God implies trusting in him as our strength, without whom we can do nothing (John 15:5), who every moment endues us with power from on high, without which it is impossible to please him, as our help, our only help in time of trouble, who surrounds us about with songs of deliverance (Psalm 32:7), as our shield, our defender, and the lifter up of our head above all our enemies who are round about us (Psalm 3:3).
