Reject Judaizing teaching and the ruler of this age
Ignatius is writing to the church in Philadelphia, warning them against false teachers and urging unity.
If anyone interprets Judaism for you, do not listen to him. It is better to hear Christianity from a man who has been circumcised than to hear Judaism from a man who has not. But if neither of them speaks about Jesus Christ, then to me they are tombstones and graves of the dead, on which only the names of human beings are written.
Flee, then, from the evil crafts and the snares of the ruler of this age, so that you may never be oppressed by his purpose and grow weak in love. Instead, all of you come together with an undivided heart.
I thank my God that I have a good conscience among you, and no one can boast, either secretly or openly, that I burdened anyone in small things or in great things. And for all those to whom I spoke, I pray that my words may not become testimony against them.
