Oration on the Titles of the Songs of Ascents
Oratio in inscriptione psalmorum graduum
The Glory of the Father and the Son§1
1Glory, indeed, is not unearned for the Father to accept, being perfect, infinite, and incomprehensible, not in need of beauty or any elegance.
Nor does His Word, being God begotten from Him, through whom angels and heavens and earth and infinite magnitudes and all things composed of matter and substance were made; but the man of Christ, being raised from the dead, is exalted and glorified, removing the shame of the adversaries.
But those who have armed hatred through envy against him and are blocked by war will be scattered, because He has worthily raised His own temple, the Word and God.

The Incomprehensibility of the Father§2

The scattering of the envious§4
4Shame is set against them, opposing them. Those who are set in hatred by envy and are blocked by war will be put in order and scattered, because the Word and God has rightly raised up his own temple.
