One God the Creator

Arnobius, Against the Heathen 1 (selection)

Arnobius · fl. c. 300 AD

It is established that Christ accomplished everything He did by the sheer possibility inherent in His name, without any external supports, without observing any rite or law. What was proper, consistent, and truly worthy of God, He bestowed through the generosity of His munificent power—nothing harmful or injurious, but beneficial, salutary, and full of helpful blessings.
